Nejdek, a town in the Rolavy valley.

The first written mention of the town dates back to 1340. At this time, tin mining began here. A castle and a parish church were apparently built in this century. In the 14th and 16th centuries, tin mining reached its peak. It was primarily the merit of the Šlik family of Loket.
