To lie in wait for the feeder

We walk into our forests. We go to observe the animals at the feeder. Today's trip to our forests was preceded by yesterday's early evening walk with my younger daughter. After a short rest after the morning's work process, my younger daughter and I set off into the forest. We have a forest that I could agree on, we dress properly and I wear winter accessories (whoever was in the army knows what I'm talking about with exaggeration). Here in the woods...
