Marian Column in Blučín
The dominant feature of Náměstí Svobody in the town of Blučina in Brno (Brno-venkov district) is the baroque Marian column, standing in the middle of a newly landscaped park.
It was probably made sometime in the middle of the 18th century by an unknown author.
It has a three-sided floor plan and a plinth, in which a cave has been excavated, protecting (behind bars) a much younger sculpture of St. Rosalie, dating back to the 19th century.
