Ludkovice is a larger village with more than 700 inhabitants, which already ethnographically belongs to the so-called Luhačovické Zálesí - an area located on the border between Wallachia and Moravian Slovácko. The name of the village is derived from the name Luděk (village of Ludkovy people) and was first mentioned in 1412.
