Ivan Hlinka is one of the most important personalities of Czech and Czechoslovakian hockey. He started playing hockey in Litvínov. As a player, he won the title of world champion three times. He later became a successful coach of the Czech national team. At the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan, our team won Olympic gold medals. Ivan Hlinka tragically died in a car accident in 2004.
