Lobendava, statue of St. John of Nepomuk.
On the other side of the road opposite the church stands an interesting statue of St. John of Nepomuk. It is a nice baroque piece from 1746. It is mostly written that the sculptor is unknown. But they could be the sculptor Christian Riedel, who created several sculptures in the area during this period. The statue of the saint stands on a triangular plinth. In the lower part there are German inscriptions. Above them are reliefs with scenes from the life of St. John of Nepomuk.…
