About the village
 Liptaň is a small village with about 500 inhabitants in the quite picturesque region of Osoblažska (Krnovsko-Opavska), but very poor. It was founded in the 13th century. The dominant feature here is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which you won't find anywhere else. But in the 13th century it is said that this red one did not stand here, but originally a Gothic church was located here and it was called the church of St. Lawrence.
