The mass of the church is squeezed between the castle and the former Piarist dormitory, but it towers over both buildings with its tower, which can be seen from afar. Originally, the Brethren church was built in 1539 in the Gothic-Renaissance style. The nave had a rectangular floor plan, a three-sided presbytery and a pair of towers.
