Libeň - World Palace

In Libni, on Elsnicova náměstí, not far from Palmovka, is the Svět Palace. This building used to have a large restaurant and cafe with a terrace on the first floor, a spacious buffet on the ground floor, and a large Svět cinema in the basement, which was once called Dukla. Bohumil Hrabal, who lived nearby, used to be a frequent guest at the buffet. Buffet Svět also appeared in several of our films.
