The well-known fruit and orchard town of Lhenice is located below the Stráž hill (742 m above sea level), 7 km south of Netolic in the Prachatice district, at an altitude of 559 m.
Lhenice is mentioned for the first time as early as 1263. At that time it was owned by the monastery in Zlatá Koruna, later it became the property of the Rožmberk family. From 1437 to 1547 they belonged to the town of Tábor. Then they were bought again by the Rožmberk family and at the end of the 17th century...
