Summer residence of academician Otto Wichterle

The summer residence of our and the world's leading scientist, inventor of eye contact lenses and silon, academician Otto Wichterle (1913-1998) can be found in the village of Stražisko, at its end, on the right side of the road towards Konice. Wichterle came from a rich family of businessmen from Prostejov, and Stražisko was, is and will be a resort for Prostejov people.
