Lanškroun - walls
The construction of the city walls, which Emperor Karel IV allowed the city to build, began in 1351. Five years later, Lanškroun is remembered as a walled city. Entrance was provided by entrance gates. Today, a house called Piano stands in the place of the northeastern gate. The fortifications were strengthened in the 16th and 17th centuries, but already in the years 1790 to 1791 the walls were gradually demolished. Only small ones have been preserved to this day...
