Květné lake - a natural monument

It is a dead arm of the former meandering course of the Dyje river, today a closed water pool with the remains of a floodplain forest around its perimeter. The site is located in the middle of the vast Obelisk nature reserve, and therefore access is limited in time. The cycle route from Lednice to Rakvice passes along its edge on a paved road. The location was declared a protected area as early as 1956, but after the re-declaration, its area today is only 1,63 ha.…
