Silver was once stored at this location. Coins were minted in the courtyard, discussions were held loudly in the audience hall, dancing, eating and drinking, and judging took place in the royal chambers.
Vlašský dvůr was first a simple fortification intended to protect the trade route, later it was rebuilt into a royal residence.
It underwent the greatest transformation under Wenceslaus II, who concentrated all the mints of the kingdom here.…
