Kuklov - undelivered monastery

The village of Kuklov lies on the road from Smědče to Brloh. The torso of the church is easily visible from the road, the remains of the castle can be reached by following the road sign near the church (about 500m). The older name is Kugelweid or Kuglvajt. Originally, there was a royal castle here from the 14th century, which was demolished in 1395 by Henry of Rožmberk. The monastery with the one-nave church of St. Andrew's was never completed and was completely abandoned around 1530...
