A tragic accident on the railway line from Polička to Žďárce near Skutč occurred on June 24, 1995, near the village, when four loose freight wagons from the Čachnov siding collided with an oncoming motor train at full speed. This tragic event claimed 19 human lives in addition to many injured. At the site of the disaster today stands a Memorial with a list of all nineteen thwarted human...
