During my December wanderings through Kroměříž, I came across a strange wall with niches at the end of Riegrov náměstí - between the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and a retirement home with a chapel. As I later found out while searching on the net at home, this is the remnant of the so-called separation wall, which once separated the Jewish community of Kroměříž from the "normal" inhabitants of the city.
It was built inside the city walls in 1680 under the bishop...
