Křížovský lom – take a look inside the mountain

The Czech Union of Nature Protectors (ČSOP) presented to the public another unique geological site in Podblanick – Křížovský lom. The quarry was made accessible thanks to the NET4GAS Closer to nature program.
Building stone was mined in the Křížovské lom in Podblanicko in the last century. After the work was finished, the quarry slowly began to grow over. Today, it would already be overgrown with thick bushes and trees, if a local organization did not start taking care of it...
