Beautiful Lípa, statue of a lion.
One of the interesting and beautiful sights of the city is the lion statue in the Dittrich Park in the southern part of the city. The statue is located next to the road on a paved area. A reclining lion is placed on a massive granite plinth. It is supposed to be a Czech lion protecting an Austrian eagle. The metal sculpture is covered in green coloring. On the sides of the statue are plaques commemorating those who died in the wars of 1859 and 1866. On the front side…
