Church of St. Zigmund in Popice.

The village of Popice is one of the relatively old human settlements. The place was inhabited long before the first written mention. It is listed in the deed of King Přemysl Otakar II from 1252. The content of the deed is a statement that the village is the property of the Order of the Crusaders with the Red Star. They had their headquarters in Hradiště near Znojmo.
