Church of St. Vavřince, Hodonín

The parish church in the center of Hodonín is dedicated to St. Lawrence, one of the seven deacons martyred during the persecution of Christians in 258, the patron saint of librarians, cooks and tanners.
The oldest written mention of the church and the parsonage belonging to it dates from 1240. The original church was therefore probably built in the Romanesque style and was already standing before that year. Due to the existence of the city already in the time of Great Moravia...
