The first written report about the church comes from 1361 from the church foundation book (Libri erectionum), when Mutina and his son Sezema from Dobruška donated the entire tithe from their mill above the river Orlica and 8 rods of rolls below the town to the honor and praise of St. Nicholas to the parish priest Peter of Tyníště.
