Church of the Transfiguration (Lomnice nad Popelkou)

A wooden chapel was already built on Mount Tábor, formerly called Chlum, in the second half of the 14th century, and Chlum then became an important place of pilgrimage. In 1527, the chapel was replaced by a wooden church. It was then replaced in 1704 by a stone Baroque church, which was built by the then owners of the Lomnica estate, Václav and Eva Konstancie z Morzin.
The single-nave building is built on a rectangular floor plan.…
