Church of the Holy Trinity in Zdoňov

The village of Zdoňov can be found between the well-known and popular Adršpašské rocks and the Polish border under the equally well-known Křížový vrch. The first mentions of the village come from around 1270. At that time, the Benedictine Order was based here. The original name of the village was Merkelsdorf (the name really, really has no connection with the German chancellor).
