This Capuchin monastery was founded jointly by the half-Spanish woman Polyxena from Pernštejn and her second husband Zdeněk Vojtěch Popel from Lobkovice, who paid all the costs associated with its establishment. In 1612, a site was chosen for its construction, which was directly connected to the grounds of the castle.
