This natural history site is located on the right bank of the Vltava in the territory of the Prague districts of Komořany and Modřany, opposite the confluence of the Vltava and Berounka. The protected area with an area of ​​12,87 ha was declared a natural monument in 2014. It is thus one of the most recently declared small-scale protected localities in the territory of Prague.
