The princely castle garden in Duchcov.

Princely Castle Garden in Duchcov.

The Prince's Garden was originally a small "Paradise" garden of Prague Archbishop Jan Bedřich of Valdštejn. It was on an elevated part near the castle. It was later expanded.
The princely garden at the castle in Duchcov was created by expanding the area in 1731 and improving the terrain. Retaining walls also had to be built in order to create good conditions for the establishment of the garden.
