Kněždub is a large foothill village with 1100 inhabitants and can be found under the peaks of the White Carpathians, in the southern direction from Veselí nad Moravou and in the eastern direction from Strážnice. The village is located at the northern foot of Šumárník peak (398 m above sea level) and on the left bank of the Velička river.
