Klapy (municipality)
The village of Klapý is located approx. 10 km south of Lovosice in the Český středohoří and has approx. 500 inhabitants. The first mention of the village dates back to 1197, and in later references it is written about the owners of the estate, the Ronov family, or Jan Luxemburgský and others (Zajícová from Valdek, Lobkovic). The village of Klapý is often the starting point for the nearby Klapý Castle (also known as Házmburk). The castle stands on a basalt hill and more than once here…
