The entrance to the catacombs is from the back section of the house of St. Ignáce, which stands on Masaryk Square. The catacombs are an important historical monument of the city. Their total length is 25 km and, after Znojmo, they are the second largest in the Czech Republic. The corridors are cut in the rock in several floors below each other.
