Karlovy Vary, Diana observation tower.

At the beginning of the 19th century, the hill above the spa town was similar to all its surroundings. I learn from the information board that the first person to discover the view of the city was the Karlovy Vary knifemaker V. Drumm, sometime around 1804. His relative, the Karlovy Vary councilor R. Mannl, had a plaque with the inscription Freundschaftshöhe (Height of Friendship) placed on the top. The height was adjusted, benches were added and people started coming here…
