At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, Jan Nepomucký was one of the most popular saints in the Podbeskydy region. Chapels in Sviadňov, Lysůvky or Nová Ves bear his name. The larger chapel in Frýdek-Místek also dates from 1899, or in Frýdek Manské Nové Dvor, with a belfry and three wooden statues inside (the main St. John of Nepomuck, the smaller Jesus Christ and the Virgin Mary).
