The village of Kácov lies between Zručí nad Sázavou and Český Šternberk. There is a church, a castle and a brewery in the village. The local brewery was founded as early as 1457. It has been owned by a number of owners, including the Habsburgs (see website). In the years 1957-2001, the brewery was closed, with the exception of 1994.
