Lake Medard is located northwest of Sokolov. You can get to the lake on foot either from Sokolov along the cycle path and the former railway bridge, or by the path from the village of Habartov and descending to the circuit road directly on the slope. The lake is 4 kilometers long and 1,5 kilometers wide. The greatest depth is 57 meters. Lake Medard was created artificially by flooding the Medard-Libík quarry.
