Jasan na Ranná

A beautiful solitary tree adorns the texting site Ranná south of the top of Železné vrch between Mala Morávka and Podlesí. The name Ranná roughly corresponds to the eastern peak of Železný vrch, and the original German name Morgenland – Morning Landscape perhaps points to the fact that peasants (as well as former miners) could easily observe sunrises here when they got up early...
