Jaroslavice is a large wine-growing village with 1250 inhabitants, located southeast of the city of Znojmo and in close proximity to the border with Austria. The vast Zámecký rybník extends from the northern edge of the village, and on its eastern bank there are several smaller breeding ponds and fishponds.
