Today's tower of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is not the original church tower, but originally a separate building. The first building of a lone watchtower stood in Ivančice already in the 13th century. In the 14th century, a brick floor with bells with Ochoz was added to the tower. The roof was shaped like a pyramid. In the 16th century, the roof pyramid was replaced by a residential floor for the tower-keeper, above it was a truncated pyramid with a clock and bay windows.
