Information center in the town of Jeseník

While walking through the town of Jeseník, passers-by are attracted by an old townhouse standing on the corner of Palackého and Tovární streets. Above the main entrance is a cartouche. The building represents late Baroque architecture with a Rococo facade and a hipped roof. The name Katovna originated from a popular rumor that Michal Waxmann, the last executioner from Jesenice, lived in the house.
