The church is dedicated to the patron saint of miners, St. Barbara. It is stated that it was built in the early Gothic style in 1282. However, we also read elsewhere that the mentioned date is the first mention of the village and the church should have been built at that time. How it really was will probably remain unanswered. In 1600, a complete reconstruction began and the subsequent consecration took place two years later. But today we are looking at a shrine that…
