The village of Hradenín with a tower-like fortress on a gentle hill is located 13 km west of Kolín by the road in the direction of Český Brod. The first mention of Hradenín is from 1265, when Předot of Hradenín had property here, and the lords of Hradenín are mentioned until 1332, when it belonged to Jindřich of Hradenín, to whom King John of Luxembourg entrusted the administration of the Lanšper manor.
