Hradec Králové - U soutoku bridge
The Elbe at its confluence with the Orlica was already bridged in the second half of the 18th century. In July 1767, Vicar General Martin Uhlíř consecrated the foundation stone. After that, nothing stood in the way of the construction of the first wooden bridge. Between 1784 and 1835, the bridge belonged to the city administration.
The condition of the first bridge deteriorated over time until it fell into disrepair. In 1839, a new bridge, also wooden, had to be built. Not even this one…
