Hradec Králové - observatory and planetarium

The Hradec observatory and planetarium is located in Nové Hradec Králové, not far from the landmark Nové HK, the water tower. The construction of the observatory was carried out between 1947 and 1961. Although the platenarium with a diameter of 6,6 meters is not one of the largest, it is certainly the oldest in the Czech Republic, having been in service for over 50 years.
