Zvíkov Castle
A wonderful example of Czech architectural art, Zvíkov Castle is located in the Písek district on a rocky promontory in the charming environment of the confluence of the Otava and Vltava rivers. The first step towards the founding of Zvíkov most likely belongs to Přemysl Otakar I, who acquired, among other things, a rocky promontory on which he had the castle built in exchange for his property.
