Špilberk Castle - Castle Well

It is located in the second courtyard of the castle. Work on its excavation began in 1714. Miners from the Pernštejn estate were called to work here under the leadership of mine master S. Spross. In the middle of 1715, a depth of 33 fathoms (over 63 m) was exceeded, so less than 25 m were dug in a year.
