Pořešín Castle above the Malší River.

 
On a high promontory above the left bank of the Malše River, the ruins of Pořešín Castle stand out. Its origin is connected with the important South Bohemian family of the Bavarians from Strakonice. Although the first written mention is from 1312, the castle has certainly been standing for several years. The Bavarians did not reside here, and the castle and surrounding estates were under the administration of their burgraves. We will not know why they owned a rather distant seat.
