Křivoklát is one of the oldest and most important castles of Czech princes and kings, whose origins date back to the 12th century. During the reign of Přemysl Otakar II. a large, magnificent royal castle was created, which was significantly rebuilt by Wenceslas IV. and later generously completed by Vladislav Jagiellonsky.
Krivoklat was heavily damaged by fire several times. It became a dreaded prison and its importance plummeted.…
