Mosteck Hněvín Castle stands on Zámecká hora at a height of 399 meters. It offers a beautiful view of the city of Most, Lake Most and the entire České středohoří. The history goes back to the 9th century. The castle gradually changed several owners until Rudolf II sold it to the city of Most in 1595. In 1646 it was conquered by the Swedes. A few years later, the castle was demolished with the permission of Ferdinand III. In 1596, a courtier was imprisoned in the castle...
