Countess, WWII Memorial
The Ostrava Operation Memorial began to be built in the early 70s. It was completed in 1980. As it is said today - a typical building of socialist monumentalism. I visited the monument in 1988 and 1990. Each time in a different mode. The expositions also corresponded to this.
In 2005, the memorial was closed, renovated and reopened in 2009 as the World War II Memorial.
