Horní Paseky - lookout tower Stráž u Aš
When we decided to take a drive in the westernmost tip of our republic, we had to go and see this lookout tower, which is located between five windmills on a 717-meter-high hill above Horní Pasek. It is actually a defunct village, the remains of which today belong to the town of Aš. It was an ancient village. The first mention of it is from 1291. From 1874 they were an independent municipality. After the fire in 1917, many people lost their homes...
