Upper Town - Church of St. Mary Magdalene

The stone church was built in 1611-12 by builder Ondřej Hofman from Grünbüchl and Střekov. The style of the building belongs to the so-called Nordic Renaissance. In 1959, after a lightning strike, the roof and ceiling in the nave burned down. This event is recorded on the new portal of the church tower.
